I have been winning tournaments and earned Girl "Youth Bowler of the Year" at Granada Bowl for the 2001-2 season. This is the season year in a row winning this title.
Katey broke another arm. she tripped on her own feet playing tag in the court last night and fell. The ER took an X-ray. She has a buckle fracture. That is when the bone compresses under the strain and bulges out, but not quite snap - technically a broken arm and treated as such. She has a hard splint and will see the Orthopedic surgeon in the next few days to get a cast. 4-6 weeks with no PE, Karate or bowling again. :-( At least she finished her Nor-Cal Jr. Champs bowling tournaments two days ago. Her two team events have her in 3rd place and about 8th in the top 10 of 500+ teams! * Last year, Katey and Paul both broke (clean snap) their left arms in exactly the same place (him playing defense in soccer; she taking a header over her scooter). * A few months later, she followed up with a slit below her left eyebrow when she hit a table edge after spinning around in the family room. She was aiming to throw herself on the couch and missed. Yikes. (4.22.02)
Katey is now a USSF soccer referee. She passed her test with Livermore Referee Association yesterday with an 84! She is very happy. (4.22.02)
